Important Details
PCBs are made from Gerber RS-274-X data, To assist OurPCB Australia in the manufacture your PCBs we require the output of your Gerber data.
We require our clients to provide us with a full set of Gerber and NC drill files for manufacture to avoid version conflicts between different versions of software. Each Gerber layer output corresponds to a layer in the physical board. For Instance a two Layer PCB would consist of a Top and bottom copper layer and corresponding mask layers, A Silk Screen, A Border layer and Nc drill file.
When submitting Gerber RS-274-X data for quotation or an order, It’s helpful to have a document accompany the files such as a text file explaining any additional requirements if they do not already appear in the output files. Such as Solder mask colours, Silkscreen colours, Surface finish, Finished Copper weight, PCB thickness and any slot details or cutouts. Layer stack up information and panel array requirements if needed is also useful.
This information can be placed in a document or inside the PCB data itself on a mechanical layer.
